The greatest moments in the history of fashion have been fuelled by conflict. Showing us a silhouette we have never imagined a human body can take or some controversial re-appropriation of a vernacular formal and material language... Technology expands what we can do and what we can make.

The New Skins Workshop: Computational Design for Textiles was a 2 week long workshop that took place at Digits2Widgets 3D Printing Bureau (Camden, London) in January 2015. The workshop included an introduction to computer aided design (CAD) programs, such as Maya and Rhino, and was followed by an hands-on workshop led by Francis Bitonti Studio.  During these two weeks, students learned how to create, develop, and fabricate complex 3D printed textiles.
